Celebrating a Century for Burnaby Museum’s Precious Parker #119
A gala 100th birthday celebration was held for Burnaby’s C. W. Parker #119. In Vancouver since the 1930s, the carousel Friend’s Group saved the machine intact in 1989. The volunteer group, Friends of the Vancouver Carousel, came together to buy the carousel intact and restore it. The carousel was installed in the Burnaby Museum, Heritage Village in 1993.
