These carousels are the hand-carved all wooden ones that we treasure the most.


Pegasus-red-map-button-11930-1960s –

Typically all portable machines. From metal to aluminum, then finally fiberglass.


Pegasus-blue-map-button-11960s – 1980s –

All fiberglass portables and larger stationary machines including double-deckers.


 Pegasus-green-map-button-11980s-Present –

A small handful of specialized companies (and a couple of cities and towns), begin building hand-carved wooden carousels again while fiberglass production continues to dominate.
